NOW OFFERING A FULL LINE OF HOT ROD & STREET ROD PARTS
IN ADDITION TO OUR SERVICES !!!
Tallant's Hot Rods & Auto Body Shop in Kansas City has been around for 30 plus years and started out as a one man operation. It later grew into a father/son partnership and remained as such for quire a few years. In 2005, we broke ground and began construction of a new shop. In 2006, the business was Incorporated and in June of that same year, with 4 full time employees, we opened the doors at the new location in North Kansas City, MO. By early 2007, we had grown a little more to a full time staff of 6.
The North Kansas City location has a full 2nd floor which is primarily used for storage so the main level can all be used for working on projects. We are currently set up with 8 working bays. We have a Frame Machine, multiple lifts/hoists, a Pullmax Power Hammer, Prep Station, AFC Paint Booth, Computerized Paint Mixing Station (so we can custom mix colors right here on the spot), Mills, Lathes, a Plazma Cutter, Heliarch Bandsaw and about every other tool you can think of. We are well equipped to work on your daily driver as well as your custom rod. We specialize in high quality collision repair and custom building of Street Rod cars and trucks. We build award winning show cars and trucks, many of which have been publicized in magazines such as Hot Rod, Street Rodder, Street Rod Builder, Super Rod and many more.
Street Rods, Hot Rods, Customs, Muscle Cars and everything in between!
Let us make your dream a reality !
Our shop can handle any phase of your Hot Rod project.
Dan Tallant grew up in this business and has always had a passion for hot rods. In 1986, at the age of 15, he began building his first custom, a 1963 Nova. In 1992, Dan & Susan met and since they shared the same passion for cool customs, a custom 1979 Harley Lowrider was built. After getting married in 1994 & with a daughter in 1996, it was decided a car was needed, so the bike was sold & so began the 1934 Coupe project. As our daughter, Samantha, grew up - more room was needed, so the '34 was sold, a '48 Ford was started & we drove a'55 Chevy in the meantime. In addition to the '48 project, Susan decided to purchase & build a '67 Firebird. In 2010, the '48 was sold, the Firebird was given a makeover and Dan now has a 1963 Nova Convertible and a 1962 Nova Gasser that he works on and drives. All our personal projects were done on weekends & in spare time as Dan worked full time at the shop focused on our customer's projects. Samantha shares our passion for cars, (how could she not, we have been dragging her to car shows all over the country since she was born) , she has now officially reached driving age - so, following in the footsteps of dad & mom, she has a '62 Volkswagen Bug that she shows and a custom painted Honda as her daily driver.
